Azure Resource group allows you to put different services into manageable group. When you create many services like Virtual machines, web apps, databases. You probably want to group them together to simplify management process. This helps in monitoring costs. Such group can be related to specific function of your business. Let’s say you want to create system to manage your inventory. You will put all your components in one place so that you could monitor costs for this business function.

How to create one is very easy
Go to All services > General section and click on “Resource Groups”
Provide the required information. Subscription this relates to your account. Select the
Provide Resource group name – it may be for business intelligence solution. Which in my opinion is a brain, of a
Select Region – which Azure data-center you want your resource to exists. Generally you want to create it as close as possible to your physical location.
